Group Yoga classes are a great way to share and explore technique and movement while building upon the collective energy in the room. We can develop even more strength and awareness when we work together. A variety of class styles for all levels are available and designed to suit your group's needs, including: Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Power and Restorative Yoga. Every class will be grounded in proper alignment, breath work and mind body awareness.
Restorative Yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. If you take a restorative class, you may hardly move at all, doing just a few postures in the course of an hour. It is a completely different experience than most contemporary yoga.
During the long holds of restorative yoga, however, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body. Restorative classes are very mellow, making them a good complement to more active practices and an excellent antidote to stress.
Don’t write off yoga just because you have balance issues or physical limitations. Chair yoga can help with joint lubrication, balance and age-specific issues, and it offers the benefits of regular yoga, such as stress relief, proper breathing and decreased fatigue.
